Mandate

In agent payments, a signed authorization proving a user let an agent transact within specific limits.

A mandate is the trust primitive of agent commerce: a signed token that asserts a user authorized a specific agent to spend up to some amount on some kind of purchase. Intent mandates capture what the user asked for; cart mandates bind a specific basket. The merchant verifies the mandate instead of the human, which is what makes an autonomous purchase accountable.
